After students have built familiarity with selection techniques and collage tools in Photoshop, we launch into more expressive designs. Using surrealism as a launching point, we start to target our techniques towards the goal of expressing or communicating a concept. In the case of surrealism, that concept is to follow one’s subconscious—which is a challenge during a school day filled with algebra and language!
